What a Way to Go!

Black comedy starring Shirley MacLaine as a small-town girl who gets progressively richer as successive wealthy husbands die. With Paul Newman.

Shirley MacLaine stars in this frivolity as Louisa, an unwittingly lethal lady. Much of the fun of the colourful, star-studded romp lies in waiting to see how Louisa's various husbands meet their doom. Funniest of all is probably Gene Kelly, as a dancer who gets trampled to death by his own fans. There's also Dean Martin, Robert Mitchum, Bob Cummings, Dick Van Dyke and Reginald Gardiner to watch for, not to mention the Marx Brothers' great foil Margaret Dumont.
