Bill and Ted's first flight of fantasy is an engagingly daft space-and-time comedy. They're 17-year-olds in danger of failing a vital history course so they travel back through time to collect a series of historical figures to help them through the exam. Exuberant Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves (who auditioned for each other's part) get well into the wacky spirit of the thing. Hilarious to see the 25-year-old Keanu now - and the movie's now an Eighties comedy classic.
