Three heartthrobs for the price of one (Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves) has to be just about your only reason for watching this truly dreadful ice hockey film depicting the Canadian variety of the sport as a cross between hockey, boxing and unlawful wounding. The entertainment value of the sporting scenes is zero and the film is naively scripted and badly acted into the bargain. Brat Pack front runner Rob Lowe leans heavily on his shyly cocky smile, but apart from the maelstrom of four-letter words, this would look more at home as a TV movie. Sin-bin penalties all round.
