Absorbing story of a heroic priest in Nazi-occupied Rome. Gregory Peck plays the priest, but acting honours go to T P McKenna as Himmler and Christopher Plummer as a Nazi colonel. The period detail is superb and the score, by Ennio Morricone, is another plus.
