You can imagine executive producers Mel Gibson and Jet Li saying, 'Hey, let's back this one - a big-budget martial arts/supernatural movie starring Billy Zane - it can't fail', but, sadly, it does. The special effects are adequate, but the dialogue is purely juvenile. And the plot, as immortal 'shadowman' (alien martial arts expert) Zane finds and trains four 'elements' (hyper-human martial arts experts) to fight as one to save the world, is corn itself. Released, not surprisingly, straight to video.
