A by-the-book telling of the real-life rescue of the submarine USS Squalus in 1939. Sam Neill plays Lt Cmdr Charles 'Swede' Momsen, the veteran naval diver in charge of the operation, while the wives and girlfriends nervously await news of their trapped loved ones. Sentimental, but - mainly due to its basis in truth - moving in parts. Emily Proctor and Shea Whigham co-star.
