The screenwriter made his directorial debut with the gross-out comedy Eurotrip.

He made his name as one third of the writing team (alongside Alec Berg and David Mandel)which met at Harvard University.

After editing The Harvard Lampoon, they worked on MTV, Give Me Back My Life and the hit series Seinfeld.

Shifting their focus to feature films, they did extensive re-write work on How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

They followed that with an adaptation of another Dr Seuss classic - The Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers and Kelly Preston.
