The actress first attracted attention when she landed a best newcomer Cesar (French Oscar) for the 1997 film Un Frere.
The daughter of TV presenter and film producer Antoine De Caunes, she made her big screen debut in 1996 in L'Echappee Belle.
Subsequent appearances included La Voie Est Libre and Jean Paul Salome's road movie about a group of French tourists in America, Restons Groupes.
In 1999, she starred in the comedy drama Milles Bornes as well as the action adventure Mondialito.
Lead roles followed in Princesses and the comedy Lovers on the Nile as well as a supporting part in Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra with Gerard Depardieu.
In 2004, she appeared in Christopher Honore's controversial erotic drama Ma Mere alongside Isabelle Huppert and Louis Garrel.
