Anthony Mackie

The actor is best known for the role of Jack Armstrong in Spike Lee's social satire She Hate Me.
He first studied acting at the New Orleans Centre for Creative Arts and completed his studies at New York's Juillard school.
Mackie took on the role of Tupak Shakur in Up Against The Wind and in 2002 received an Obie award for Talk, directed by Marion McClinton.
His Broadway debut came opposite Whoopi Goldberg and Charles Dutton in Ma Reiney's Black Bottom.
The actor made his feature debut as Clarence "Papa Doc" in 8 Mile with Eminem and went on to appear in Hollywood Homicide with Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett.
Roles followed in the drama Brother to Brother and Jonathan Demme's remake of the thriller The Manchurian Candidate.
As well as She Hate Me, Mackie also worked with Spike Lee on the TV series Sucker Free City.
