The Bourne Supremacy
Matt Damon eases comfortably into the role of reluctant assassin Jason Bourne in an edgy espionage thriller which is actually superior to the original. Bourne is tracked down to his Indian Ocean retreat...and framed for a botched operation in Berlin. Cue mayhem as he makes his way to Germany to clear his name. It's intelligent, controlled film-making, stylish without slipping into parody, and has at its core the compelling premise of a flawed anti-hero who wants out.
If you suffer from motion sickness don't sit too close to the screen. A lot of hand held scenes walking out of stations and the like could have been done better, you feel like a nodding dog. Overall the picture is brlliant with some very colourful shots at the beginning.
Dre Kemp
A truly fantastic film. Good casting, effective screenplay and dynamic locations compliment gritty, dynamic and intelligent directing. Better than the first film (a tricky task), this blows Bond movies and other spy/fi thrillers out of the water. A dead-cert 5-star film.
