William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet

Baz Luhrmann's scintillatingly modern take on the Bard's classic tale of warring families stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo and Claire Danes as Juliet. The action is moved to Verona Beach - a neighbourhood of lethal weapons and fast cars - where the Montagues and Capulets are daggers drawn. This refreshingly contemporary version was the last performance by DiCaprio before he was catapulted heaven-ward by Titanic the following year.
