In Her Shoes
Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette are the warring, chalk'n'cheese sisters brought together by the grandmother they never knew they had. Director Curtis 'LA Confidential' Hanson has cooked up a winning combination of the hilarious and heart-rending with nicely judged performances plus a scene-stealing show from Francine Steers as a waspish pocket-sized pensioner.
Loved it. It was fantastic and had me nearly in tears. It was done well and and I found the clash of characters between the sisters very interesting.

Brilliant - the performances by the superb cast was breathtaking. This film had some bad reviews, but all I can say they are WRONG. Watch it and ignore the bad reviews!
Joanna Hayward
One of Cameron's funniest films to date. Especially the wedding scene at the end the play on words about the shoes.
Tia Hubbard
I think the film is brillant.
Marion Moloney
I liked it but i was sort of expecting better because the book was so good!

Excellent chick flick, best in a long time. Great mix of emotions; sadness, happiness and anger. Not the usual predicatable love story. It will tough the hearts of many a sibling, parent or grandparent.

Book adaptations can be disappointing but I really didn't feel that with In Her Shoes...and I loved the book. It does have to simplify things a little, as with any book to film, but it never lost the true spirit of the story. I think Toni Collette, Cameron Diaz and Shirley McClaine were excellent. They all seemed to catch the essence of their characters.

To be really honest I was quite disappointed with the film. I throught it would live up to the hype but the book was by far so much better. But Cameron and Toni did pull off the caracters very well and there were some aspects of the film that were very funny. Others I was drawn away from.

I thought this Drama/Comedy was good but not quite as good as the book. Cameron Diaz did a good job as Maggie Feller who is tall and thin just like Cameron. Toni Collette who plays Maggie's sister Rose also did a good job but she was too thin! Shirley MacLaine did a superb job as grandmother Ella, hilarious. All in all a good film. Well Done!

Cameron Diaz gives an Oscar worthy performance in this quality drama as a self loathing sleep around whose hopes of becoming an MTV VJ are dashed by her inability to read the autocue. She moves in with her grandmother at a Florida retirement community and finds a surprising new lease of life. Far better than your average chick flick.
