The Exorcism of Emily Rose

This thriller attempts the difficult task of combining courtroom drama with supernatural chiller. Tom Wilkinson is the priest in the dock after a local girl - allegedly possessed - dies during an exorcism. Laura Linney is the lawyer charged with defending the cleric while newcomer Jennifer Carpenter impresses as the girl with her own personal demons.

Brilliant movie! I saw this in the cinema, and I was terrified! Being a Catholic made it even more scary!However, I think this film would be better in the cinema than on TV.

More of a very good courtroom drama than a horror, or supernatural/occult story. Nevertheless an excellent film, and highly recommended.

I thought it was a very good film, especially after the two awful Exorcist prequels. Quite scary in parts with great acting.
