Mel's Crop Circle Critics
Gibson's new film slammed as "hysterical" and "sensational"Crop circle enthusiasts say Mel Gibson's latest film, Signs, about a Pennsylvanian farmer who discovers a 500ft crop formation, is "typical hysterical Hollywood".
They say the movie, directed by The Sixth Sense's M Night Shayamalan, only serves to sensationalise the phenomena.
Francine Blake of the Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group told the Wiltshire Evening Advertiser: "It is the sort of typical hysterical Hollywood film we are used to - all sensational and scary.
"All I can say is that we are disappointed with this film.
"But I would not urge people to boycott it because they will easily be able to make up their own minds when they see it."
She said 25 formations had already been found in Britain this summer but added: "I do not bother to think what makes them.
"I just look and want to see if I get a feeling - like a burst of energy - from it.
"I do not think it is an ordinary intelligence behind it."
