The last of Bob Hope's really funny comedies, pitching him once again into Paleface territory as an inept insurance man who sells a policy to famous outlaw Jesse James. Ain't a-Hankerin' is a cute novelty song in the best Buttons and Bows tradition, and it's nicely delivered by Hope and leading lady Rhonda Fleming. The action and fun comes fast and furious under the direction of Norman Z McLeod, who directed hope in Road to Rio, The Paleface, My Favorite Spy and Casanova's Big Night. Stay tuned for the ending, in which Hope receives a few unexpected helping hands when besieged by outlaw gunmen.
