A small-screen disaster movie, with - the producer being Irwin Allen, who made The Towering Inferno - some big-screen effects. The rising tension is mounted with some care by director Earl Bellamy, but at base this is catastrophe by numbers, although a 'second league' cast, including Ernest Borgnine, Vera Miles, Alex Cord, Donna Mills and Ty Hardin, does its best to paper over the smoke-filled cracks in the plot.
