Dullish Disney which lands a heavyweight cast (James Garner, Vera Miles, Robert Culp) with a featherweight plot about a widow in Hawaii, 1850, helped by a shipwrecked Texas cowboy to change her potato farm into a cattle ranch. This doesn't sound the stuff of which gut-gripping drama is made and it isn't, although Garner's easy charm makes the story less heavy going than it might have been. Andrew Jackson's lush Technicolour photography laces picturesque views of Hawaii with cigarette ad-type shots of Garner's cowboy framed against rugged landscapes.
