In the mid-Fifties, the Warner Brothers studio had big plans for making a young romantic team out of Tab Hunter and Natalie Wood. Unfortunately, the great idea lasted for only two films, the second of which, The Burning Hills, was to put it mildly, unexceptional. Besides the two stars, this movie boasts erstwhile Fugitive David Janssen, as a disciplinarian captain; and erstwhile Maverick James Garner. Garner, then an up-and-coming player on the Warner lot, was soon destined to star - opposite Natalie - in Cash McCall.
