There are some incisively funny performances in this film from Robert Altman, here receiving its British premiere. Glenda Jackson and Lauren Bacall are both good as the dotty rivals for presidency at a national health convention in Florida and, as the satirical barbs fly thick and fast, there are also droll contributions from Carol Burnett, James Garner and Henry Gibson.
