May On Sky Movies Comedy
This month on Sky Movies Comedy we've got romantic double crossing in School For Scoundrels, Eddie Murphy tackles an entire cast of characters in Norbit and Jackass Number Two is sure to get your stomach flipping! Check out the top titles May has to offer!Check out the top titles that are new to Sky Movies Comedy in May:
A shy loser (Jon 'Napoleon Dynamite' Heder) signs up to a confidence-building class and gains enough self-esteem to begin dating his pretty neighbour only to find himself competing for her affections with his duplicitous teacher (Billy Bob Thornton). Loosely drawn from the 1960 British classic, this scores thanks to deliciously low-key performances and a nice, subtle line in rueful comedy. High class stuff.
In another multiple comic turn, Eddie Murphy stars as both hen-pecked dweeb Norbit and Rasputia, his 300lb monster of a wife. His marriage is a living hell, but things get really heavy for Norbit when his childhood sweetheart (Thandie Newton) returns to town with her sneaky fiancée (Cuba Gooding Jr). With a third role as a politically incorrect Chinaman, Murphy has a whale of a time with this wobbly-bottomed wheeze. Roll over, Big Momma...
Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew return for a second helping of elaborate (and not so elaborate) self-abuse as they subject themselves to leeches, sharks and stampeding cattle. Not to mention stunts involving horse semen and pubic hair. Fans of the hit gross-out fest won't go home empty-handed while those who fail to buy into the idea may find themselves empty-stomached.
James Van Der Beek moves on from Dawson's Creek to star in an energetic teen sports drama. He's the high school reserve quarterback who gets a shot at gridiron glory when the team's star player is injured. Van Der Beek is joined by fellow teenaged up-and-comers Paul 'Fast and Furious' Walker, Scott 'Ocean's Eleven' Caan and Amy 'Crank' Smart. Seasoned pro Jon Voight plays coach.
