Don't be too attracted here by the stars, who include Rosanna Arquette, Steve Guttenberg, Carrie Fisher and Michelle Pfeiffer: this is a quite often mildly amusing, but rarely hilarious compendium of comedy sketches in the still-current American `rude' vein, punctuated by a take-off of an old science-fiction movie that probably looked funnier in its original form. A class cast, which, besides the above, includes Sybil Danning, Andrew Dice Clay, Ralph Bellamy, Steve Forrest, Kelly Preston, Arsenio Hall, Ed Begley Jr and (briefly) hulking veteran Mike Mazurki, at least keeps boredom at bay in the main. Most of the directors involved took lessons from this slapdash slapstick `adult'-style, to move on to better things.
