A very effective chiller that weaves a more horrific variant on the classic Forties film `My Name is Julia Ross'. A key character here is called Julia Rose, and the name of the `producer' (of a film that never was) is Joseph Lewis, the director of the original. Oscar-winning actress Mary Steenburgen is simply tremendous in a triple role at the heart of the tortuous plot. Faint hearts should beware mounting suspense towards the end.
