Before he hit the big-time as an actor, Michael Douglas made this modest movie as an out-of-work man obsessed with entering the Olympic marathon. Director Steven Hilliard Stern has made some good TV movies, but the absurdly melodramatic plot thwarted his attempt to break into films here. Shot on location in Canada, the film has lovely photography by Lazlo George, but none of the heart that made such sports films as 'Rocky' great.
