Although its premise is pretty silly - a sculptress invites criminals to confess to her on the phone to give her inspiration for her work - this made-for-cable TV drama works itself up to some fine chills before the end. Peter Weller in his pre-RoboCop days is the policeman who tries to protect heroine Lesley Ann Warren from the terror that some viewers might well feel she foolishly brings upon herself.
