Catherine Deneuve's international ventures have been consistently less successful than her films in her native France, and she's out of luck again with this forced and unbelievable romantic comedy that also suffers from being particularly modish, which dates it rather badly. A tremendous cast, though, is still worth watching, including Jack Lemmon, as professional and funny as ever; Myrna Loy, who deservedly received a special Oscar this year; Charles Boyer, Sally Kellerman, Melinda Dillon, Peter Lawford, Jack Weston and Harvey Korman.
