Since the break-up of the Soviet Union, they don't make spy dramas like this any more - and it's possibly just as well. Opportunities are missed all round - the plot contains some interesting ideas, none of which are properly followed up, and the starry cast is wasted, allowed to do little more than produce phoney foreign accents.
