Inspired by those classics of the futuristic genre 'Blade Runner' and 'The Terminator', Charles Band - once dubbed the Eighties answer to Roger Corman - produced and directed this clever science fiction thriller. Comedian Tim Thomerson is well cast as a low-budget version of Harrison Ford who is sent back in time some 300 years to 1985 Los Angeles. He has to inhabit the body of one of his ancestors and change history to prevent a totalitarian state from coming to power. The satire is well observed and the film is visually arresting.
