Tom Smothers - together with his brother Dick - had a passing success with his US TV comedy series. He never really made it on the big screen. Here he found himself in a heavy-handed comedy, directed by Brian de Palma, as a young executive whose attempts at dropping out of the rat race are frustrated by his boss (John Astin). Katharine Ross makes a glamorous bit-part appearance.
