Crusty old Walter Matthau produces and stars in this heart-warming tale about an elderly woman (Ellen Burstyn) who realises that she is getting too old too look after her orphaned grandson and so must search for more long term care for him. The performances are exceptional and the film manages to be poignant without tipping into excessive sentimentality.
