The actress's appearances include high-profile offerings such as Mars Attacks! as well as an Emmy Award-winning show as guest actress on Friends.
However, she also co-wrote The Penis Song which was mercifully edited out the final cut of The Sweetest Thing, starring Cameron Diaz.
The daughter of a music producer father, she made her TV debut aged just three months in Days of Our Lives.
Her movie debut came when she was only eight years old - in Jaws of Satan - and in 1987 she was cast in her breakthrough role as Kelly Bundy on the popular TV sitcom Married... With Children.
Three years later she was cast in her first feature lead with Streets, which led to a starring role in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.
She has made a Emmy Award-winning guest appearance on Friends, as Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel's spoilt sister.
Subsequent roles included Sharona in Tim Burton's Mars Attacks!, Gregg Araki's Nowhere and the action thriller The Big Hit with Mark Wahlberg.
She starred in Out in Fifty and in the comedy fantasy Just Visiting (based on the French box offic smash).
In the lame The Sweetest Thing, she starred alongside Cameron Diaz and Selma Blair and appeared opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in the air hostess movie A View From The Top.
In 2003, she starred in Wonderland and David Caffrey's drama Grand Theft Parsons with Johnny Knoxville.
