Phyllis Nefler (Shelly Long) is going through the trauma of divorce and needs to channel her mind into something else, so she takes on running her daughter's Wilderness troop, taking the girls camping and suchlike. The children are a mixed-up bunch, all daughters of rich people, and Phyllis struggles at first to gain their attention. What a shame that this tale with potential misses the satirical comedy mark.

A really excellent movie for the family. Shelley Long is great, the music and disco dancing is excellent everybody seems to be enjoying themselves even the people looking on at a roadside disco were dancing along with it. Only one complaint and that is we didnt see enough of Shelley dancing or hear enough of her singing. If you want a pick me upper see this unless of course you like violence and nudity then it's not for you.

This film has to be the ultimate feel-good movie. It's a typical 80s movie that has the usual happy ending but, to be honest, that's what makes it such a cool movie. It has good humour and brilliant jokes. If you want to be cheered up then this is the perfect movie to watch. Shelley Long at her best.
