This attempt at surreal black comedy is indeed rather black but it isn't funny and unreal rather than surreal. Basically it's about wimpy Michael (Frank Whaley), who seems to have scored with beautiful but one-handed Sarah (honestly). But then her dog dies suddenly and she persuades dopey Michael to bury it in the park. En route to the park he's waylaid by loony cabbie Jack (Randy Quaid) who reckons the dead dog is worth dosh. This is all supposed to be zany and fun but the characters are dumb and unsympathetic and the plot makes no sense at all. Irritating and stupid? You've got it.
