A rather fey psychological drama-romance whose star-studded cast (Warren Beatty, Jean Seberg, Kim Hunter, Peter Fonda) was not enough to prevent it dying a thousand deaths at the box-office. The pace is slow and the actors seem to take a long time to deliver their lines. As an oddity it's worth a look, though certainly not up to the standards of Robert Rossen's previous film The Hustler. Unfortunately the writer-director died soon after Lilith was completed.
