Don't Bother to Knock

Airline pilot Jed Towers (Richard Widmark) pursues a babysitter in a New York hotel after he falls out with his singer girlfriend. Marilyn Monroe plays the psychotic girl who is convinced Towers is her dead husband. British director Roy Ward Baker would go on to make the hit TV series The Persuaders and Jason King.

Richard Widmark doesn't appear as happy in this stop-go chiller as in most of his post-war films for Fox, but then he has high-powered female co-stars Marilyn Monroe and Anne Bancroft both intent on making early impressions.

Good, no; interesting, certainly.
