This college caper, allegedly a comedy, is a sort of Animal House for the Nineties. It's the one about the fraternity on campus that wants to get outrageous and have fun and - this is the Nineties, remember - offends every political correctness rule in the book. Potentially this could have worked as a very effective sideswipe at the new moralities, but the film fails to deliver the goods. Unlike the aforementioned Animal House, it doesn't star John Belushi and it isn't funny. Desperation is hinted at in the title (PCU - geddit? ) and seen in the eyes of the performers who try to make at least something out of nothing. Even with a relatively short running time, gags are pretty thin on the ground.
