In the Fifties, when drive-in movies were all the rage, American International Pictures made a slew of films to match the era, glamorising the sullen, moody teenage angst modelled by the king of tantrums, James Dean. Almost 40 years later, 10 of the best of these films were remade for cable. This is the rehash of a 1957 movie and, it has to be said, far superior in its treatment of the upright (or should that be uptight) family under threat from a gang of ne'er-do-wells on two wheels led by Jake Busey (son of Gary). It's directed by John Milius of Conan the Barbarian fame.
