OK, so the title character is a monkey, but if you can get past this obscure scenario, this is an entertaining family comedy starring Jason Alexander and Faye Dunaway. An orang-utan trained to be a thief by his master befriends two boys and creates havoc at a hotel. Lively, zany, mad and pure fun.

This lively comedy of errors set in a hotel centres on Dunston, a clever orang-utan who escapes from his master, who has booked into the place so he can rob it. The ape teams up with Kyle (Eric Lloyd), son of the hotel's manager (Jason Alexander). With an impending visit from the hotel's ruthless owner (Faye Dunaway), you know that chaos will rule. This fast-moving farce is fun pretty much all of the way and director Ken Kwapis never loses a grip on the zaniness he has created.
