A very artificial black comedy dealing in hostility and failure to communicate. Six unhappy and dislikeable people connect, when they do, in stammers, disconnected phrases and four-letter words. These are sad people and you should feel sorry for them and their sex problems, though it isn't easy. They end up just as miserable as they began, albeit with different partners. Woody Allen used to make this kind of thing quite funny, but here it's just boring. Film of the year, perhaps, for swearword count, but not much else.
