Brian De Palma has fashioned an off-the-wall, docu-style comedy here starring Robert De Niro as one of three men trying to avoid the draft into the Vietnam war. The action takes place on the streets of New York as the men (also Jonathan Warden and Gerrit Graham) act daft, much dialogue is improvised and 'plots' centre on conspiracy theories and the offbeat in urban life. Visual and intriguing. You'll love it or hate it.
