Sewell and Gugino ruthlessly abduct a mermaid in Ireland at the turn of the century, and decide to take her with them to the States.

On board their ship, the captors and their prize catch become familiar with each other, but the ship begins to lose it's way in the ocean.

As their boat starts to head towards the mythical Forbidden Islands, the mermaid begins to display a deadly side, and the captors begin to wish they'd never embarked on their adventure.

It's an enjoyably trashy take on a classic horror movie with modern visual effects to lay on extra gore.
