The accomplished music video director made his feature debut with the big screen adaptation of Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

After finishing art school Jennings and producer Nick Goldsmith formed the highly successful music video and commercials company Hammer and Tongs.

Their best-known work includes Blur's Coffee & TV video, Right Here, Right Now for Fatboy Slim and Imitation of Life for REM.

"The President of the Galaxy shares many of our world leaders' characteristics, give or take the odd head or extra arm."

The company landed HHGG after director Spike Jonze recommended them to film studio Spyglass.
