Ford's A 'Dying Breed'

Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart believes her lover Harrison Ford comes from a dying breed of "real" men.

The actress said she had found the man of her dreams in actor Ford.

She told the News of the World: "He was my action man hero - now he's my real life hero.

The 37-year-old star angrily denied that Ford, 60, was too old for her, saying: "Too old for what?

"He's a real man in a time when real men, from what I saw of the single life, are a dying breed.

"He's intelligent, fun, sophisticated - a modern-day Cary Grant. Any woman would be glad to have him on her arm ... I'm not just glad, I'm damned grateful!"

There have been rumours that the couple plan to wed soon, but a spokesman for both stars have denied an engagement.

Nevertheless, Ford's mother Dorothy has said: "Calista will make my son a great wife."
