This epic fantasy starring Val Kilmer has more than a few elements in common with Lord of the Rings, in that it's about little people (played by dwarf actors) who set out, in a time long ago, to destroy the power of evil, by shepherding an abandoned baby on a journey to fulfil its destiny as a saviour for good. The trek's sometimes a bit slow, but the screen is alive with adventure most of the time and the final duel of magic and muscle provides an exciting climax. Not recommended for very young children, who might find a fearsome two-headed monster the stuff of which nightmares are made.
