Jack Nicholson was a busy man in this somewhat offbeat western. Not only did he star in it, he also co-produced it and wrote the screenplay. He and Cameron Mitchell are two cowboys wrongly pursued as outlaws by a relentless posse. Slammed by the critics when it was first released in America (it never had a cinema release in Britain), it has now become a minor cult film. With poor dialogue and a thin plot, you sit there thinking Nicholson should stick to what he's good at, but even his acting is a bit wooden here. Maybe he should have complained to the scriptwriter.
