Hottest Sex Scenes Ever

Sex goddess Marilyn Monroe has been pipped for top spot in a list of the hottest love scenes in the movies.

A steamy encounter between David Hemmings and supermodel Veruschka in the cult sixties film Blow-Up topped the list compiled by Premiere.

The magazine said the Michelangelo Antonioni film shot in 1966 still remains an "incomparably cool and fresh" piece of erotic moviemaking.

Monroe and Tony Curtis's romance on a yacht in 1959 classic Some Like It Hot was ranked the second hottest scene.

Curtis later confessed that the passion was more than just acting.

He said: "Marilyn liked to lie on me and grind, and as soon as she knew she'd aroused me, she'd look down on me as if to say, There you are, you naughty boy."

Brigitte Bardot's nude appearance in the ground-breaking 1956 ...

It is followed by the incestuous shower love scene played by on-screen brother and sister Erica Gavin and Jon Evans in the controversial 1968 film Vixen.

Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider butter-enhanced romp in Last Tango in Paris is listed at number five.

The David Lynch directed lesbian encounter between Naomi Watts and Laura Elena Harring in 2001 Mulholland Drive was also named in the top 10.
