Robert Forster
Born: July 13, 1941

A big name on Broadway, Robert Forster has also made a name for himself in film, although he did so relatively late in his career.
His feature debut came in 1967 in John Huston's Reflections in a Golden Eye, in which he played an officer who is caught between a repressed homosexual major, played by Marlon Brando and his nymphomaniac wife (Elizabeth Taylor).
It was Forster's nude scenes that brought him attention.
Forster went on to co-star with Gregory Peck and Eva Marie Saint in the The Stalking Moon before enjoying international attention for his starring turn in Haskell Wexler's arresting Medium Cool in 1969.
The 70s were spent in relative success for Forster and in 1982 he teamed up with Fred Williamson for the first of many collaborations, starring opposite him in Vigilante.
Another milestone in Forster's career was his job as producer and actor on the detective spoof Hollywood Harry, which was followed by an acclaimed role as an extraterrestrial cop in Peacemeaker.
In 1997 he played Max Cherry in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown, and was honoured with an Academy Award nomination as Best Supporting Actor for the first time in his long career.
More recently Forster has acted in Gus Van Sant's remake of Psycho, Supernova in 2000 and in the Farrelly brothers comedy Me Myself & Irene.
He also had a co-starring role in Lakeboat, and starred in and produced Diamond Men.
Forster has also appeared in Confidence, starring Rachel Weisz and Ed Burns and the sequel to Charlie's Angels.
