Bette Davis in James Bond territory: her Madame Sin in this unlikely espionage adventure is as exotic a villainess as stalked the screen since Gale Sondergaard played Spider Woman in a couple of Forties' thrillers. Co-star Robert Wagner also produced the film. Their British supporting cast is headed by Denholm Elliott, Gordon Jackson and Dudley Sutton. It was Jackson's 30th year in films. He had just embarked on his most famous characterisation - Hudson the butler in Upstairs, Downstairs.
