Midnight Lace

Newly wed to wealthy Rex Harrison, Doris Day gets ever more panicky as she hears voices threatening murder on the phone and in the London fog. Naturally, no one believes her! An eerily haunting atmosphere is created in this excellent, glossy Hitchcock-style thriller, remade in 1981 as a TV movie. The stars stayed in Hollywood while their doubles went on location.
