Earthling was a good movie. Set in Australia, it tells two stories, an old man going home to his place of birth to die, and a child who had just lost everything, taking his first steps of independence. It's realistic, if not a bit too "Australian". We see Shawn filthy, hungry and lost, and Patrick wants no part of him. The two bond together well as a dying man teaches his knowledge to a young child. Well worth a look.
