Blowing the lid off the LA social circuit, John Pielmeier's adaptation of Dominick Dunne's 'An Inconvenient Woman' revels in wealth, blackmail and coincidences among the supposed elite. The film deals with homosexuality, gangsterism, a coke-sniffing film director and the affairs of Jules and Flo. Nolan Miller's costumes are smart and effective, and Von Oostrum's camerawork is terrific.
